With over 14 years of hotel/resort photography and video experience I can help you create world-class visual content
Resort and hotel photography is my passion. The beauty of the buildings, surroundings and the people I work with. The hospitality industry has taught me about the business, and above all customer service.
I was introduced to hotel photography by VFM Leonardo (now VFM World Wide). They sent me on assignment in North and South America, shooting for Intercontinental, Marriott, Kimpton, Delta and more. Between photo shoots I trained other photographers in the discipline of architectural photography.
Teaching is in my blood as any general manager that has worked with me will testify. My enthusiasm for the property and the photography process comes out as I explain what is happening on location. Photo shoots should be a fun and relaxing experience. At the same time they should be highly efficient, so shoots do not occupy staff time or valuable rooms and amenities.
My photography has taken a few different paths over the years. I have a book and video marketed to tourists in Banff National Park called ‘Calgary to Lake Louise a Photo/Video Journey’. I have been featured in such periodicals as National Geographic, Smithsonian, The Wall Street Journal and many more. My art can be purchased in the Mountain Art Gallery in Banff and I have been featured in a number of contemporary galleries. All these experiences have honed my craft for resort content creation.
Experience allowed me to master photography and video. Education helped me start the process. I attended the Alberta College of Art and Design and Vancouver Film School.
